Made by Motsi Living, these baskets are functional art pieces handwoven from natural grasses. As no two baskets are ever the same, each piece will give any room a unique look and feel.
Handwoven from sisal, a fibre that comes from the tropical plant Agave. Each fiber is harvested, dried then rolled against the weaver's leg until the perfect thread is drawn out. An average of 20-40 hours per basket makes these one of the most labor intensive of all African baskets for their size.
These baskets are traditionally given as gifts and symbolize a long and happy life. These baskets are curved in shape.
Diameter: 20-25cm
